     Truly, a kiss of all things wasn’t expected. At first, Shoku simply stared, not really comprehending what was happening. Then reality slammed into him, his face heating up as hands darted to rest on the other’s shoulders. There wasn’t a push nor a pull, simply hands resting. 

     Once the other finally let him breathe, he leaned back, face turned to the side.

“I’m…”

     He almost felt guilty, to have not known how to respond. He wanted to know why, but kept his mouth shut in favor just hanging his head and pressing it against their shoulder.
