Ohana Means Family [ j o o k ]
Cook wasn't sure exactly where the fuck they were other than the fact that he was completely wasted. This time he decided to go all out. Freddie was at the party but they left him there he was busy trying to get this girl into bed and Cook laughed shaking his head but then again everything was funny when he was piss drunk. By the time Julie and Cook left it was already somewhat late and Cook held Julie's hand cos he was bound to get lost almost like a puppy in a way without it's leash. When she reaches in her bra he raised an eyebrow. It was an on going game of who could get the most numbers and well... Cook lost. Most of the time. He looked in his pocket and they weren't there. "Shit hold on." He said as he turned around and there they were right in his boxers. He doesn't even know how the hell they got there other than they were there. He grabbed them and zipped up his pants and smirked but the smirked faded and then said,"I got three. But I spent quality time with all three of them, yeah?" He said looking at the names everything was blurry but he burped and then said,"Look at this name. Sounds fuckin' exotic!" He said showing her the paper,"Arsia." He said with a smirk and then added,"She did have a nice arse." He says nodding his head as he looked down at her names and then frowned a bit. They had the same names and numbers. "Shit Julie, really? Again?" He said because like once again. He failed.
Julie arched an eyebrow as Cook went to find his numbers. Now she understood why it was always funner being the lesser drunk out of two. Cos Cook was seriously a fucking show when he was drunk. She laughed a bit when he talked about Arsia, shaking her head when she finally plopped on the couch and made herself right at home. "Yeah I bet. I got, let's go through this shall we?" Julie smirked, going through the small little slits of paper, "Ingrid, Elle, Willa, Faith, and hell what's this?!" Julie said in an almost mockingly shocked voice. "Looks like we met the same Arsia." She winked. Getting up off the couch, she walked around in a circle thinking to herself, "Cook, I'm going to give you my lady-killin' expertise alright?" Julie declared, walking over to the shitty, but workable stereo in the corner. She connected her iPod and started playing some music you could easily dance to, or shag to. Either way. "Come over here, dickhead. You want to get laid more often or not?"
Cook: "I fuckin' get laid." He said but his head was spinning as he smirked and then got up towards her in a dancing motion. He knew how to work his hips quite a bit he did it often around the flat with his uncle though his uncle didn't really come home often. Cook circles around her and bumped his ass with hers and then met her eye to eye he smirked at her now and said,"Why you gonna give me a pity blow or sommat?" He said and then put his hands on her hips and held her there for a minute and then he let her go looking at her through his glassy eyes. "Show me you expertise," he said now wanting another drink but knowing he'd pass out soon if he did have another drink. He wasnt sure what she was planning if it was grinding he knew how to do that pretty well. He liked this one girl at Roundview, Effy, and he danced with her before but it wasn't that big of a deal. He let the thought go as he looked at Julie now.
Julie: "Yeah? By who? Arsia with the nice arse? I think that's the only thing good about her let's be honest." She joked. Julie rolled her eyes at him, and shook her head "Don't be a dick." She said, even though she was used to his attitude, and honestly it amused her. That's how they were alike too, you either hated them or you loved them. No matter what their reputation perceives them as, they wouldn't care. Julie locked eyes with him now. Her hand grabbing his wrist to put it back on her hips. "Rule One. Be cool. Don't start freaking out or acting overly cocky, or you're gonna scare her away." Julie started out. This wasn't any kind of dance lesson, nah. Just a way to show him the trick and trade. "Rule Two," She said, pushing him gently against the wall now, their faces only inches apart, "Touch her. If you don't, she'll thinking she's not pretty enough and all that insecure shit. Let her know she's hot stuff, but don't say it. Show it." Julie smirked. Tilting her head, seeing he was leaned against the wall, she was ready to say her third basic rule. "And rule number three. Look into her eyes. Pupils more especially. Dilated pupils means she wants to suck your prick, or in my case she wants to stick her fingers in ya.".
Cook: They were close and intimate now in this position and Cook had smirked as he looked at girl. If Cook was being honest he was partially in love with Julie because they had known each other forever and their friendship was more than just a friendship she was gay but if she weren't then Cook would have snatched her heart and in a way he did. They were each others first kiss and it was different with them. They weren't friends they were more than friends and less than lovers but Cook liked it like that. To the outside world you could label them but Cook hated labels. So he moved them taking her hand and backed her up into a wall. He smiled at Julie now as if she were a stranger and then he put his hands on her waist. One hand went on her shoulder and then slid down to her fingers and connected then. He looked her in the eyes. Not up and down but he simply looked her in the eyes and held her there close to him. He smiled at her now and then lightly pecked her lips. "How was that?"
Julie: The thing about Cook and Julie is that they were both wildcards. You couldn't put your finger on either of them, let alone label them as a pair. They were just...two people. Two people that got along well. When he pressed her gently against the wall, it was like they were two different people for once. And in a different world, they would've been something more you could say. Because Cook meant something to her. He had a special place in her heart ever since they kissed when they were both six years old. Each other's first kiss, how more cliché could they get. When his hand trailed down from her should to her palm, it was as swift as a snake. But it was when he kissed her that caught her off guard. She smiled back at him, blinking once to get out of the haze she was in. Julie chuckled slightly before looking back at Cook's sea blue eyes, "A lot better than that grinding shit you do." the Brazilian joked before she leaned in for another kiss. She was used to doing that with him, one of the few guys she'd actually do something sensual with. Her tongue snaked in, the kiss, touching the roof of his mouth and then her tongue wrestling with his like an expert.
Cook was still drunk and out of it but he had held her close to him and then he started to dance with her because he felt like it, and none of that grinding shit either. He knew how to dance well if he wanted to. He put her head on his shoulder and then one hand on her waist keeping her there and then he turned them into small circles. It was one of those moments where he was grateful to have her as a friend and grateful to be so close to her in this way where it wasn't weird. The night they kissed when they were six he knew he had to protect much like he knew he had to protect Paddy but he didn't see her as a sister he saw her as something less of a loved but more than just a friend you can't place them and they weren't placeholders. He kept her close now and he closes his eyes easily getting lost. "Her arse wasn't that great." He said with a chuckle. To be honest he didn't mind losing to Julie because from what Cook could tell Julie deserved having people fall all over here she was actually something special and Cook was just Cook. He smiled to himself grateful she won every time.
Julie: It was moments like this that Julie was glad she had a friend like Cook. Because they were both each other's shoulder to lean on. Tonight, they were both piss drunk. Cook mostly, but Julie too. His head was on her shoulder, and now Julie did the same. The music changing once more to some acoustic cover of a classic Bosa Nova song. Julie smiled to herself in this moment; resting her eyes and moving along with the music gracefully. Her thoughts drifted off though, thinking of her ex boyfriend. The times that were actually good for once. Before everything went bad and his anger issues took over. Her arms were around his neck, her hands scrunched his shirt gently, before opening her eyes again to feel some tears well up. "Cook," She spoke up, "If you loved someone, would you ever hurt them?".
Cook: Where she asked him the question Cook thought about it for a minute and then said,"I haven't hurt you have I?" He said and the pulled her closed. They were going around in small circles now and he just kept her still until he had enough of it and then grabbed her hand and he marched them down to his room and he laid down on the bed bringing her down with them he tangled their feet up and he wrapped his arms around her and spooned her almost as he did this and thought about the question more. Cook has never been in love. He likes someone but he doesn't love her so he doesn't know. The only person he could possibly love like that would be Julie but he kept his mouth shit now. "I think it's a bit inevitable to not hurt someone you love. You'll always hurt them." He said now nodding his head and then he kissed her shoulder and added,"why do you ask?"
Julie: Julie let out a quiet chuckle and simply shook her head, "I don't think you ever could." She smiled. She was honest about that too. Cook couldn't hurt Julie if he tried, she'd simply blame it on herself if it ever happened. That's just how the girl was, that's how she dealt with her boyfriend issues. Julie blamed it on herself because who else could have triggered his anger? Everyone knew him as a caring fellow, but when he got with Julie behind closed doors it was an entirely different story. Suddenly Cook dragged her over to his room; this place being way too familiar to Julie. It literally could be a second home to her, and the more preferable one seeing she slept on the floor in the living room of the shitty apartment her mom and her shared. Julie let out a soft yawn, fighting the urge to sleep because she wanted the moment to last. She always wanted to moment to last because she wouldn't stay in Bristol for long, and she'd have to face her problems back in Brazil sooner or later. When he kissed her shoulder, Julie smiled to herself, turning to face him now. "I asked because, I thought I was in love with my ex right? That was until I met this girl, and after that he started -- hitting me. Is that normal? I mean, maybe it is." Julie sighed, taking her arm out from under the blanket. "Like, this bruise. I say I got it because I got in a fight at school. Honestly I got it cos Michael pushed me against the wall cos he found out I cheated on him. Funny that bruise is still there." Julie chuckled a bit, a bit more of a sad laugh than anything. She rolled onto her back now, examining the ceiling, "Maybe I deserved it." She said with a sad smile.
Cook had listened to her and his grip tightened on her not in a aggressive way but in a way where he was almost shielding her. He wanted to say a lot of things and he wanted to punch something as well but instead he listened to her story. He couldn't even imagine her getting hit. There was a lot of times where Cook just watched his mothers destructive relationships and how she whored herself out but that was different. He looked at her now turning so he could see her. "Fucks wrong with him?" He asked but it wasn't a question he shook his head now. "Ain't your fault, Julie." He was keeping cool because if Julie wasnt in his arms there wouldn't be anything holding him back from tracking the guy down and killing him. He wouldn't have minded killing him if he was being honest. He wouldn't feel guilty about it. "Your safe now." He said and then when she started talking about the girl she loved Cook almost smiled because he loved watching people talk about someone they love because they said it with such passion. He watched the way her eyes lit up and he kissed her softly. This wasnt weird for him at all. He knew that she was into girls and for some reason he just was blind to that. It was just a label it didn't affect who you were as a person. "Not gonna let anything hurt you."
Julie: No matter what anyone said, she'd always see it as her fault. Because for most things, it was. Her dad probably left her mother because they were expecting Jules, she got her boyfriend to hit her because she was known to bring the worst out in people, and on top of all that she got one of the most beautiful girls she's ever laid her eyes on to fall for her. But in the end, Julie knew the ending to that. She'd screw it all up, break her heart, and leave her in pieces. Julie smiled a bit when he said she was safe now. If only that was true. She'd eventually have to go back and face Michael, but she wasn't scared. Cook taught Julie how to fight earlier on, if only she had the will to use what Cook taught her on Michael when he beat her. When Cook kissed her once more, it didn't bother her. He was just trying to comfort her, and Julie was just fine with that. In fact she kissed him back as a sign to show she'd be there for him too. Best friends for life after all. "I love you, you fuckin' loon." Julie giggled, extending her neck a bit to kiss his forehead and turning to the other side to have her back face him. Back to their original spooning position. "Boa noite." She said, meaning good night in her native Portuguese language.
Cook had waited until she fell asleep to officially turn the light off he looked at her and traced patterns on her arm for a while. "Night, Jules." He said as he heard the soft sound of breathing in and out. He laid his head on the pillow now and then stared up at the ceiling. He put Paddy to bed before an he loved doing it because this was the side that only a few people got to see of Cook. He had to be tough on the outside. He kissed the back of her head and then he finally let his eyes shut now closing them now as he allowed himself to sleep. No danger would be done to her tonight. That's all he could promise her to keep her safe when she was with him. He supposed thats all that mattered.
