This Homemade Sticky Chicken recipe is sweet, savory, and oh-so-tender. The sticky glaze made with soy sauce, honey, and spices caramelizes beautifully on the chicken thighs, making them irresistibly delicious. Perfect for a family dinner or entertaining guests!
Ingredients: 8 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs. 1/4 cup soy sauce. 1/4 cup honey. 2 tablespoons brown sugar. 2 tablespoons ketchup. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 teaspoon ginger, grated. 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes. 1 tablespoon vegetable oil.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 190C 375F. Honey, brown sugar, ketchup, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes should all be mixed together in a small saucepan. It will take about 5 minutes of cooking on medium heat until the sugar is gone and the sauce gets a little thicker. Put vegetable oil in a big skillet that can go in the oven and heat it over medium-high heat. Put in the chicken thighs with the skin side down. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until they turn brown. Turn it over and cook for three more minutes. Spread the chicken thighs out evenly with the sticky sauce. Move the pan to an oven that is already hot. There should be no pink left in the chicken after 25 to 30 minutes in the oven. The glaze should have turned caramelized. If you want, you can serve it hot with sesame seeds and sliced green onions on top.
