What kind of clay do you use?

Its called Monster Clay. It is a heat activated Oil based clay that, when warmed, becomes soft and pliable and when cooled to room temp is about the firmness of hard candle wax.

What do you usually do for art practice?

I know some people do like, shape practices, some people do warm up sketches, and some people (like me) don't really do any practice

I do figure drawing and I experiment a lot.

I find after a couple weeks I tend to get into a grove of how I sketch line and color so I try to change that up whenever I can.

I am so sorry if this is rude, I know some creators don't like their characters being compared to other things. But sometimes I see Sparkbite and I think of the turrets from Portal. They're both very adorable and have big red eyes

Omg you are actually right on the money for one of the inspirations for her look!

I spoke about it years ago at this point but the turrets from portal and the tachikomos from ghost in the shell as well as some other stuff were directly responsible for her design so its actually kinda flattering you noticed!

Due to 2020 being what it was I have made this new blog exclusively for my SFW art.

I was and still am @shapeofmetal but I’mma be archiving a lot of my SFW 2020 art here and once thats done this will be where I will be posting new SFW art. 

I might also do asks/art requests here as well but that is still kinda up in the air. 

We will see. 

Lets hope 2021 treats us all a little more gently.

i would just like teeth facts, i can give u a seal video in return if u want

Canine teeth are interesting. Even as diminished as they are in current humans they have the longest root out of all the teeth and even have visible bumps in the skull because of those huge roots called canine eminences.

also I HATE it when vampires in movies have teeth that arent the canines pointed. Like having pointed bicuspids is valid those are cool its when they make the laterals pointed that I start seeing red. THOSE TEETH HAVE FLAT INSICAL EDGES NOT FUCKING POInTED EITHER MAKE EVERYTHING PONINTY OR NOTHING I HATE THIS
