My Biggest Month Of Sales!

This month has been a long one, let me tell you. Full of ups and downs. An up being that my husband and I have now been married for 5 years and it hardly seems like it at all. A down is that a beloved pet (furry child) lost his battle with cancer after 6 months and had to be put to rest- it was incredibly traumatic for all of us. Nevertheless, life must roll on and creativity will pull me forward.

Speaking of creativity- this month has been amazing for sales! I’ve officially been with Zazzle a year now, didn’t even see it coming when I hit ProSeller status (win!) and while each email declaring ‘Sold!’ is a rush I have to admit it’s been hard going. My sales started out slow- which is obviously to be expected, and I’m thankful to say that before half this year was up I was hitting 5 to 6 sales on average per month. In case you don’t know- that’s awesome.

This month though, things have been a bit different. Okay, a lot different. This month I beat my average twice over with change. That’s right, folks, 14 sales this month!

Here’s what’s been going out:

GAMER In Training Baby Creeper by NekoCreations

This is the first baby item I’ve sold so far, not only that but it’s on it’s way to Brazil! Always happy to add a new country to my list. Also available in OTAKU, FANBOY and FANGIRL. See here.

Rainbow Unicorn Poop Mousepad by NekoCreations

This is a random design I did totally on a whim, really. I was bored one night and it was supposed to be vomit until I realized how chunky it was. If you’re interested there’s a speedpaint on YouTube to showcase how it was created. More items with this design over here.

Cosplay Is Not Consent Button by NekoCreations

Cosplay Is Not Consent is an important thing going on in my community. The sentiment behind it is that just because a person (regardless of gender) dresses up in a ‘sexy’ costume does not mean they’re asking you to touch them and make remarks. They are portraying a character, often a cartoon or beloved book being. Photos are generally acceptable but beyond that groping, oggling and coming on to them is just plain rude. Spread the word. Just because someone is cosplay does not mean they’re giving you permission to treat them like a piece of humper’y. I have more CinC merch over here, if you know of anything else I might make to help spread the word please let me know and I’ll do my best.

Okay, now this is a sale I’m really excited to tell you about. For those who’ve been following along the past few months you already know that Foxy is my best seller on everything I put him on. It’s awesome and hilarious because he was my first attempt at digital art and I’m so happy to see how well he’s doing in so many different countries. So, since it’s not news why am I excited to tell you about this sale?

Because just days after he was purchased on the mousepad above that very same customer came back and ordered another Foxy little item.

This is a design I’ve been meaning to spread across the rest of my merch and am slowly getting around to. Are you a gamer? Are you full of love (be it for a gamer or for your games)? Keep calm and cosplay on, all done up in rainbows. Just a little cute thing I did to follow the trends and it’s already sold many times over. This just goes to prove that every idea is worth fleshing out into reality because you never know who might enjoy it. Sold, Sold, Sold!

Had some really cool sales this past end of week, I wanted to share them sooner but life has been rather upsetting for me as of late. Lots of pending death in the family and a road trip that could have gone a lot better- and a lot worse. I’m keeping my chin up and just trying to ride on the surface of the issues for now. That being said, onwards to awesome sales!

Got one of my first multi sales, I’m not counting the packs upon packs of postcards because well- yeah. Anyways, I sold 30 customized Panda stationary to someone in Ohio.

I sold another Foxy postcard to someone in Germany. This little guy seems quite popular over there. I wish I knew why, aside from his obvious cuteness, so I could make more of what they love. Foxy now has several versions but it seems the classic is still most popular.

And last but far from least, a Panda messenger bag. This is an exciting sale for two reasons. First of all, that baby cost $53. Not cheap. I don’t care how much I made off of it, only that someone was willing to spend that much on one of my designs. How cool is that? Secondly, this Panda is on his way to Australia! Very exciting indeed.
