Casual affection all around! She lives for the little touches. Holding hands, brushing up against you, leaning or outright hugging– she delights in great big bear hugs, too. Totally willing to pick you up and spin you around just for the heck of it. Casual affection is common around Hollyberry Kingdom in general, so it's no surprise that Hollyberry is the queen of affection.
Occasionally uses pet names– not very often since she just prefers the sound of your name on her tongue, but will sometimes call you "dear," "love," or "sweetness."
Likes to make you laugh. Will definitely pull out the puns, if you like those kind of jokes. She enjoys seeing your face light up or hear you groan at a terrible joke, and she often laughs at her own jokes– both because she thinks she's funny and to get you to crack up.
Makes sure you're well fed and hydrated. Can't seize the day on an empty stomach! Checks up on you often, asking, "Have you eaten yet?" or "When's the last time you had something to drink?" Treats you to nice dinners and ensures your comfort. If you try to challenge her to a berry juice drinking contest, however, be prepared to lose. She takes her record very seriously– no one's beating her, not even her partner!
If you're adept at fighting, she'll gladly fight alongside you. You work together in tandem, guarding each other's backs, often communicating without words.
If you're not, she'll still defend you with her life. It's her job as Queen, after all, to make sure all of her citizens are protected, including you. If asked, she'll gladly teach you some self defense and combat moves just so she knows you're capable of defending yourself if you ever need to.
Enjoys big, grand gestures like parties and such, but if that isn't your thing, she's enthusiastic about going at your pace and being more lowkey! That doesn't negate the fact that she wants to shout her love from the rooftops, but she's a considerate partner and wouldn't hurt you by doing something that you wouldn't like.
Embarrassment is not a word in her dictionary. Shame does not come easily, and any embarrassing feat to others is simply Hollyberry doing what she does, or what she feels she needs to do. If she wants to really impress you, she's willing to do whatever it takes.
If ever you're apart, she sends plenty of letters. Many of them ramble on about her daily life and adventures, with scales of dragons, carved charms, and pictures of her slipped into the envelope. Her handwriting is big and energetic, almost sloppy from how quickly she writes. It can be hard to translate, but amongst her stories are her declarations of love for you (and many promises of hugs). All her envelopes smell of hollies and sugared raspberries.
Invites you out on tame adventures. She enjoys spending time with you no matter what you're up to, and will suggest going off to some new island to explore.
It's hard to get her to sit down and rest, but once she does, she's not moving for a while. She's quite the cuddle-bug, and will hold you close while you're reading or relaxing. She sleeps like a rock.
Takes great joy in casually picking you up and holding you. It can be anytime, anywhere, if she gets the urge, she's gonna pick you up. Bridal carry, over the shoulder, cradling– she does it all.
Berry juice baths are a must! Not only does she get to rest her weary limbs, she also gets to relax with you in some warm fruit punch and spend some quality time with you. During these moments, she's softer; she blames it on the berry juice making her sappy.
