So I made a steak dinner for my client today. I asked her how she liked her meat cooked and she tells me medium rare. I'm over here like 😨😨❌‼️😷😷!!! I don't get this hype! I do not want to see my food still bleeding!! Lol
Sooooooo i tried to add the recipe to the actual post but eh didn’t work. So here’s the fish soup recipe that goes with this pic :)
1 onion
1 tablespoons each of black pepper, cajun seasoning (for some spice), salt, garlic seasoning.
parsley flakes (how much ever you want)
3 gloves of garlic (or how much ever go wild if you wish :P)
3 slices of tilapia fillet
1 salad tomato, diced (this is the big ass ones but of course you can use smaller ones and just use more of 'em)
2cups veggie broth
2 cups water
2 tablespoons of tomat paste, or Prego italian sauce or any tomato based sauce. i used Prego sauce cuz that's what i had lol
1cup milk (recipes i saw used coconut milk which i didn't have so i subbed cooking cream & evaporated milk. i mixed them half and half, so i guess you can use any kinda milk really)
2 cups of any type of noodles/pasta you want. i used the spirally ones
Fish: dice slices in cubes, however big or small you wish, doesn't matter. season with mixture of lime, salt, black pepper, pepper flakes, cajun seasoning or any seasoning mix you feel like!) place in fridge for about 30mins. i did mine early this morning and left in the fridge a few hours just so seasoning could soak in.
SOUP: adds ome olive oil/butter to pot, take the seasoned fish and saute for a few mins. you're not cooking it all the way thru, the cooking happens with the soup itself so just leave it a few mins. Remove from pot and set aside.
Using same pot add the onions and garlic, let cook for a few mins as well, then add the diced tomatoes. Now the recipe didn't call for this buuut i figured heyyy ya know what this maybe a good idea, so i took a potato masher and while the onions, garlic and tomatoes simmered in the pot i mashed the tomatoes slighty. just to get the juices out there.
Add the 3 tablespoons of tomato based sauce i.e Prego, to the pot, then add all your tablespoons of seasonings. add the cups of broth, milk and water.
Cover pot and let cook for about 20mins on a low heat. then add the seasoned fish and re-cover pot. Let cook for 10-20mins. Awww yiss things are getting bubbly and tasty.
Remove lid and taste your deliciousness to make sure you have the right amount of seasonings and that your fish is cooked and comes apart easily.
Add your pasta to soup, re-cover pot and let cook for 10more mins. you can turn up the heat at this point. it'll cook really quickly. Make sure pasta is nice and cooked and...
