Cooking can get really stressful when i feels like you need to make a fabulous spread, like the ones seen on old Family Circle magazines. It can also get crazy when Im trying to follow a recipe, and cut up the ingredients fast enough to get them into the pot on time. I measure, cut, and prep all of my ingredients before I even start to heat the pan. This gives me time to enjoy the process and connect to the ingredients. I also like to cook for lots of people even when it is just me. I portion and freeze my leftovers, and PLAN on eating the same few things all week. When your food is you medicine, you body loves it and will not grow tired of the simple delight of a meal made on purpose.
