Actually I’m kinda obsessed with Tristan as Walmart Lancelot bc technically it should be the other way round as the Tristan and iseult story is oldest but the prose Tristan and Malory make lancelot and Guinevere be the ones who ‘teach’ Tristan and iseult about ‘fin’amor’ thereby reversing the chronology both within and without the text
