It is not nearly common enough knowledge that most Native tribes in the U.S. don't actually own all of the land within their reservation. There are millions of acres of reservation land that tribes don't legally own and they have no control over how that land is used. Like, there are a lot of different concepts tied in with the land back movement, but a major one is literally just getting reservation land back into tribal ownership.
So we know land back is Indigenous sovereignty Native agency and Indigenous stewardship yes. Land back is them respecting treaties they promised to respect ages ago but didn’t. Land back is them respecting the agreements they made with sovereign nations but broke instead. Land back is us going back to our ancestral lands. Land back is referring to Indigenous land by native names not colonizer ones. Land back isn’t a ethostate or deporting people Or whatever fever dream settlers have that’s cuz of settler colonizer projection and guilt.

if one in twelve humans who have been on the moon was allergic to moon dust, that’s either a one-in-a-million chance or a VERY common allergy
The fact that it’s such a statistically useless sample is DEFINITELY driving a handful of very specialized scientists absolutely crazy
oh this one i know! he's not actually allergic and he's not a statistical outlier. all twelve astronauts reported symptoms after stepping on the moon because lunar soil is fucking nasty to human (and presumably most complex life) biology. moon dust is like inhaling asbestos. it's very fine, chemically reactive, and will hang around in your lungs for months, like a shitty inhaled cloud of glass. which, as it's mostly silicon, it kind of is. glass powder that is ripping up your airways and possibly your dna. see again: like asbestos

Bad things happened
i actually do think too much emphasis is placed on regret rates in the trans community despite said rates being absurdly low. like even if regret rates were at 90% id still support access to gender affirming care because i think people have the right to do whatever the fuck they want with their own bodies. regret is the price you pay for autonomy man get over it.
