what white people think racism is: *extremely offensive rhetoric and hate speech*
what racism actually is: don't worry, i'm not scared of you
when i first peeped this shit (like an hour ago) via Tiny Mix Tapes, i was dead sure it was gonna be another one of those vaporwave albums that produces some tiny mutation in the genre under a name you've never heard of before that is actually an alias for the same mysterious entity who makes seemingly *every* release related to the genre.
nondistinct early-computer imagery--check.
name involving the word "cool"--check.
coming out on Astro Nautico--check.
boy, was i wrong. sort of. Cool Intentions is the "footwork" project of (current) Abe Vigoda drummer Dane Chadwick (i only say current because the band's old drummer Geraldo "Reggie" Guerrero wasn't too shabby with the polyrhythms either so for a sec i thought it was him) and while it does trade in the market of 160bpm (sometimes slower) and double snare hits, the sound is pret-ty fucking filled with vaporous snare swells and that shit that makes you wanna just phase into the realm for eternity.
now that i've asserted that i can effectively identify music by genre, i can get around to saying that it's pretty rad. but still, this shit is vaporwave. or footwork. im just sayin, this shit is VAPORWORK

Pajama People - Drum
New PJ Peeps! It's been a while since I posted Pajama People music around here, but now they're back, and I'm real glad. This dreamy disco beat and gentle male/female vocals create a really nice swirly haze that's both psychedelic and sweet.
Drum is the first single from their upcoming Cool Intentions EP which is certainly going to be way cool, but will somehow be completely relaxed and comfortable, too.
