There’s this kid...
...in my neighbourhood who is a huge fan of the Avengers. His grandmother saw me one day when I was wearing a silver and gold Avengers logo pin on my lapel. She gasped and said: “Oh my GOD. Dillon would just LOVE THAT SO MUCH!”
As it happens, I bought two when I picked up the pin originally, because I wasn’t sure how it would hold up to being perpetually worn on my various coats. It’s still looking as good as new, so I told her I’d give her grandson the extra pin.
BUT THEN—
I had a kickass idea. I asked her who his favourite Avenger was, and she told me it’s Captain America. As such, I’m going to knock the kid’s socks off. I’m going to design a special commemorative box for the pin (and the stuff that comes with it), and I’m going to do up Avengers stationery.
Then I’m going to write this kid a letter “from Cap”, declaring him an honorary Avenger and put it in the box. Then his grandmother (who works at the POST OFFICE COULD THIS BE MORE PERFECT) is going to deliver the package to him personally.
I’ll post pictures when I get it done. Hoping to have it designed tomorrow evening and sent to the print shop by Thurs. AM. Be done in the next week or two, regardless. Watch for it. ;-)
