We have 19 days left on our Birds at Arms enamel pin Kickstarter! We funded the base campaign in under 12 hours, and are on our way to the second stretch goal! There are a total of nine pins to unlock, and each stretch goal makes a matching wooden ornament and refillable journal available too!

These will be 2.5″ soft enamel pins so they’ll show off their detail! We’re ordering them with an epoxy coating too so they’ll feel super smooth!

American Gods- Lit 2000 projects

Last semester while I was dual enrolled I was taking Lit 2000, an English course at the community college. Our professor decided that our required text for the class was going to be @neil-gaiman‘s American Gods which is one of my favorite books and that we would be doing group projects at the end of the course. 

When the end of the class came around we set up two maps:

 One detailing the journey that Shadow went on throughout the book.

and

a map detailing where the Gods were originally from and where they were encountered in the book.

This was legit one of the coolest projects that I’ve ever been a part of. 

Tragically I messed up a bit on the verbal presentation because I got ahead of myself and mixed up some events (I’m not the best public speaker).

Eco-Responsible Furniture: This Bookshelf Can Be Reassembled Into A Coffin After The Owner’s Death

Designer William Warren created a set of bookshelves that will last you a lifetime: they can be reassembled as a coffin.

I think I’d want one that required less work for those left behind. Many of the ones listed are not long enough or designed to be dual use. I’m in a “spooky” mood so send me cool practical links like this if you know about them.

Trying out OpenGOAL, a project to port the code of the Jak and Daxter trilogy to PC. Currently it works with Jak 1, and pretty well from what I’ve played so far.

Overhaul underway for LPFD Fire Station No. 3

The LPFD moved out of Fire Station No. 3 on Santa Rita Road this Monday, relocating to a temporary facility blocks away for most of this year while the old station is torn down and rebuilt.

The Livermore-Pleasanton fire station #3 is getting an overhaul. Construction is expected to last most of the year. Learn more about the upgrades here:
