Cooley Peninsula, Ireland May 2017
What an incredible day for sunrise and sunset on the Cooley Peninsula this day last year! It was amazing watching the changing colours and shapes - a fabulous ‘Omega’ sunrise over Carlingford Lough and Haulbowline Lighthouse. Then some stunning colours (with a little help from some Saharan Dust) for sunset over Dundalk Bay at Gyles Quay.
The often overlooked Cooley Peninsula is such a spectacular area to catch both ends of the day. They don’t always look quite as dramatic as they do in these photos, but we wouldn’t appreciate nature so much if they did!
