"OK…then who were you thinking?" Cordie got curious.
"Well, there's Cooper. He seems super cool and popular. And he was talking and he said his parents have a winter cabin in Mt. Komorebi, so he's pretty high up on the list."
"Then there's Aster. I wasn't sold on him because he always seems a little sad and mopey, but I've been talking to Helena and she says her and Aster are from the same town and tons of fun, and Helena's super cool so I'm taking her word. He's also kind of cute, so that helps."
"And, I guess, there is always DeShawn. He's already super in to me, and it's not like I'd have to work hard to get him to ask me, but I dunno. We're at camp! I wanna see what else is out there. I could hang with DeShawn any old time!"
"So…who should I go with?"
"You missed one."
"Who?"
"Jai."
"No way. Jairo already has someone he likes, and I'm in full support of him making that happen."
"Jai Jai likes someone? Who?" Cordie's curiosity increased.
"Cordelia, seriously?" Jordie rose an eybrow.
"Cordelia, remind me when we get home to help you get over how oblivious you are."
"I am not! I don't even know what that means!" Cordie nudged Jordie playfully.
But as the two goofed off, Evie approached their bench.
"Cordie?" Evie cleared her throat. "Do you mind if we chat?"
