cop oc: nerea rose, the genius
daughter of tomás 'tommy' rose, she was born four weeks after neera, and grew up alongside her as sisters.
however, nerea soon showed to be academically ahead of neera, for at age 2 she could read, write and talk long senteces; at age 5 she had an hyperspecific organisation for her room, and at age 7 she was sent to freshman year of high school, for her iq had been discovered of being at 186, way above average.
when she turned 12, many colleges of the country fought against one another to have nerea on their program, but tommy, having his doubts against the government not being able to protect his little girl like they failed with his twin brother, sent her to europe. she thrived there.
she was sent first to monterre, where she got her bachelor's degree in physics. then, she set her sights on ismar, where she learned their martial arts for a sabbatical year, and at age 19, after getting her first degree in monterisso on advanced technology and an intership in cordonia's most celebrated university, she set her eyes on the infamous drakovia. there, she connected with vasili thorne, whom they shared an intellectual bond. however, she noticed that his sights were on juliana, and asked him if what they had was serious. he told her of his commitment to juliana, and she decided she have had enough of being the loner genius. she wanted to try more personalities, and, one night, during a theater event, she collided with sebastyan thorne, and they both hit it off. sebastyan admitted that he had his sights on her, but wouldn't do anything due to his loyalty to vasili, but didn't agree on how he treated her. they both dated for a year and a half, until she also noticed how sebastyan's gaze often went to, you guessed it, juliana georgescu.
sick and tired of being thrown over for her, she broke up with sebastyan during a fashion show of marguerite's and, weeks later, juliana was found dead and trystan was found guilty, although nerea always found how she died smelling fishy.
years passed, and, when her cousin neera was caught up with the thornes, instead of asking for advice, straight up interrogated her, and nerea was baffled at how paranoid she was of everyone. they had a fight, and both barely interacted with one another throughout the event, although she kept an eye close to vasili and sebastyan, since they both had strong ties with juliana.
when sebastyan was found dead, she was devastated, and her first thought was to check on the remaining family members. there, she and marguerite bonded over family members being brutally murdered, and both close...awfully close. inseparable, even. marguerite liked neera fine, but nerea was far easier to relate and be with. where neera was prickly and rash, nerea was calm, conniving and rational. not wanting to leave drakovia yet, nerea was there throughout marguerite's grief, and when vasili was revealed to be the murdered and having been assassinated by neera herself, both had a fight on her cousin's methods, which ended in tears for both.
