Well.. yesterday was the final match of the season… but it was more than just a match. More than just a final. Many things happened…

😭 Last night was Lucho’s last match in charge of FC Barcelona. 3 years went by so fast… but they were 3 years of incredible moments, records broken, a treble, a historic comeback, some disappointments here and there, many many memories.

You leave us as the 3rd most decorated coach in this Club’s history, 3rd only to Pep and Johan. 9 trophies out of 13 won.. Not an easy numbers.. most coaches can’t match 9 trophies in 9 years .. for all of that Lucho, and for your sass, THANK YOU.
👑 Lionel Messi played his 700 career match last night. And on that night, he ended up with a goal and an assist.
With his goal last night, he is now the Top Scorer in La Liga, La Copa and The CL as well as the European top scorer.. Scoring 54 goals in 52 matches.. and putting in Class performance after the other…. can you say GOAT
😎 Neymar became the 1st player to score in 3 consecutive CDR finals since Puskas did it last in 1962..
🏆 Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi added another trophy to their tallies.. with 30 titles won for FC Barcelona each!! While Gerard Pique and Sergio Busquets have equalled Xavi in trophies won for FC Barcelona (25)..
🏆⚂⚂🏆 Iniesta also equalled Ryan Giggs with 33 titles won and is only 4 away from the ultimate record.
⚽ Paco Alcacer scored the last ever goal at the Vicente Calderón to give the 3-1 victory to FC Barcelona.
🏆🏆🏆 Barça have won the Copa Del Rey for the 3rd straight time, equalling their own record from 1951-52-53.
🥅 Gerard Pique cut off the last net from the Vicente Calderón and he intends in raffling it out between the members of Atletico Madrid because “they deserve it, it’s theirs , their home”.
💪🔙 After 105 days, ALEIX VIDAL came back from his ankle injury to play against the team he got injured against. Mind you he was set to miss the entire season and wouldn’t be back until the next season.
🏥 Speaking of injuries… Javier Mascherano
suffered a cut, which needed stitches, and concussion as well as a posterior capsule strain in his right knee. And he will be out for six weeks.
And finally.. ANDRE GOMES👏👏👏 Did we all see him last night… did we see what he is capable of?? And in a totally new position for him.. Ever since his goal against Valencia his confidence has been rising.. more and more with each match he was playing.. Hopefully next season he continues with this mentality. He was too harshly criticised.. and some people really took it overboard… Good for you Andre… keep it up. 👏👏
Yesterday’s match was the perfect way for Lucho to get his farewell… and even more on such a historical nigh, date and place. The night we won the 3rd CL in 2009 and as the last match at the Vicente Calderon. HISTORICAL 📅
