NYC Ska Legends Embark on 30th Anniversary Tour! Thirty years ago a bunch of upstarts ignited a spark on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. A spark that fired the imagination of the American music scene, causing a global conflagration. That music was Ska and the band was THE TOASTERS. The 2-Tone sound re-created in their own image by this unruly group of ruffians synthesized the classic 70s British sound with east side Punk and rock and is now regarded as being the precursor to the Third Wave of Ska. The embers of the legacy bequeathed by The Specials, The Selecter, The Beat and Madness were rekindled and the Toasters hit the road. Hard. Five-thousand some gigs later the sparks are still flying and the band is ready to pick up the cudgels once again for their 2011 30th Anniversary tour.

Darklands takes over the back room playing all the best Goth, Deathrock, EBM, Darkwave, Industrial, Horrorpunk, J-Goth and Dark Alternative from Resident DJs Batastrophe, Death and D-ject plus guest DJs from across the country. Deviation will welcome you into Stereo with the best Goth, Metal, Industrial, EBM and Retro hits to keep you dancing all night long from resident DJs Vixen, JD and Doctor DV8. And on Sunday: MINIATURE DINOSAURS
Critics have compared their music to the likes of David Bowie, The Killers, Pulp and Weezer. "Totally harps back to older Scottish bands, the likes of Orange Juice and Fires Engines, mixed with some straight up pop...watch out for Miniature Dinosaurs" - Ally McCrae, Radio 1 With airplay on Radio One three months before the outfit performed their first gig, live shows have always been anticipated, especially when supporting artists such as Fenech-Soler, Twin Atlantic, Florrie and Young the Giant. The group's latest single, 'Fight or Flight', was released with Glasgow label Electric Honey (Belle & Sebastian, Biffy Clyro, Snow Patrol). Additionally, they have a clothing endorsement with Police-883, the first of its kind by the fashion company. The band also managed to score several syncs in the MTV drama Being Victor!!
