i assume they mean non-celiac intolerance, which has been sort of "debunked" by the same person whose original study lent a lot of credence to people going gluten free. the follow up study was meticulously done, but it only involved 37 people and concluded that there was gastrointestinal sensitivity to FODMAPS which are often found in gluten products. so it's still a really valid dietary choice? and i really don't think either study can be considered conclusive given the scopes.
this article explains the study pretty well for those who want a source.
of course maybe that anon just don't believe in allergies or medical conditions or people not eating stuff or science. we'll just never know.
