Managed to squeeze in one last New Zealand adventure (for now;). Overnight hike to Welcome Flat Hut on the Copland track to soak in these fabulous natural hot pools! The trek took just under 6 hours each way. Passing thru rainforest and swamp along the Copland River. It had been raining recently which made for a dirty & slippery walk along the mossy rocks and over countless creeks and little waterfalls. The hut itself was brand new and had a resident mouse who was very curious of our gear🐭. The pools were amazing! Super hot and they didn't smell funky. They were surrounded by high mountains with snow covered peaks.
