Former Chippendale Public School (1883). Main gothic revival schoolhouse and perhaps the oldest survivor of it's type in the Inner West. Early example of the long and proud tradition of free state-funded K-12 education for all, regardless of race, creed or social status, that continues to this day. Now repurposed as the works and maintenance depot for the nearby University of Technology, Sydney (UTS). Heritage Listed. Chippendale.
The Vic (1912). Clock face on the former Victoria Hotel now known as The Vic on The Park. In the Federation-era 'Arts & Crafts' style, it's one of only two still-trading pubs in the Inner West with a copper dome. At this establishment, the time is always a quarter to ten. As it should be. Marrickville.
R.D.Watt Building (1912). Former faculty of Agriculture, the University of Sydney. In the "Federation Arts & Crafts" style, featuring an unusual hand-hammered copper dome over the Sydney Sandstone landing. Rural studies are now conducted in the Institute of Agriculture within the university's Science faculty. The building currently houses the Sydney Policy Lab in the faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. A lot of thinking going on in there. Camperdown.
St. Marys Catholic church (1911). Odd mish-mash of architectural styles here, with an unusual copper domed bell tower. Erskineville.
