Makeup Mondays:
Brown shimmer & pink makeup inspiration from Molly Bee (IG: @beautsoup).
Makeup of the day:
Eyeshadow- Sun from the Galaxy Chic Palette by BH Cosmetics with Super Shock Shadow in Sequin by Colourpop on top for added sparkle.
Mascara- Lash Contortionist in Black/Brown by Physician's Formula on top of the Photo Finish Lash Primer by Smashbox.
Highlighter- the Pink highlighter from the Carli Bybel Palette by BH Cosmetics.
Lip Color- Cosmic Metals in Speed of Light by Nyx Cosmetics.
Turned purple again but already missing my orange hair
Primers- Primer by BH Cosmetics (no longer sold) under Priming Potion in original formula by Urban Decay Cosmetics on the eyes, and Poreless Putty Primer by Elf Cosmetics.
Eyeshadow- Nairobi above the crease, Morocco on the lids and in the crease, then Madagascar in the crease and outer half of the lids, all from The Nubian 2 Palette by Juvia’s Place. Lastly Lustrous Foil Eyeshadow in Copper Leaf (color no longer sold) by Ulta Beauty.
Eyeliner- brown liner pencil by Physician’s Formula.
Setting Spray- Make It Last by Milani.
Foundation- Outlast 3 in 1 foundation in Fair Ivory by CoverGirl (gifted by the brand and BeautyTap).
Powder- All Nighter by Urban Decay.
Undereye Concealer- Outlast in Fair Ivory by CoverGirl (gifted by the brand and BeautyTap).
Highlighters- Snowflushed by Mac, no longer sold.
Lips- Pumpkin Spice 2 by Sugarpill, and Nefertiti from the Nubian 2 Palette by Juvia’s Place on top, just so it matched my eyes a little more.
I will say this powder didn’t make my skin look as texturized if I apply by brush. When applied with the sponge that came in the compact, it makes the skin look more texturized like the foundation from this same line also did.
Primer- Studio Perfect Photo Loving Primer by Nyx Cosmetics and Primer Potion in Original Formula by Urban Decay.
Eyeshadow- Pain and Panic above the creases, and Underworld on the lids, both from the Misunderstood Disney Palette by Colourpop. Lastly I applied Loose Shadow In Penelope by Sugarpill on the lids for more contrast between the crease and above crease colors.
Mascara- On the Rise by Nyx Cosmetics on top of Voluminous Primer by L’Oréal.
Powder- HD Finishing Powder by Nyx Cosmetics.
Highlighter- None today.
Concealer- No Filter in Fair 02 by Colourpop.
Lip Color- Treat by Sugarpill (limited edition, no longer sold) with Loose Shadow In Penelope by Sugarpill on top.
Makeup of the day:
Eyeshadow- Loose Eyeshadow in Penelope by Sugarpill.
Mascara- Lash Contortionist by Physician's Formula on top of the Photo Finish Lash Primer by Smashbox.
Powder- Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Buff Beige from Rimmel London.
Setting Spray- All Nighter by Urban Decay (also sprayed on eyeshadow brush to make Penelope super pigmented and vibrant).
Lip Color- Vice Lipstick in Wildfire by Urban Decay with Cosmic Metals in Speed of Light by Nyx.
A very simple look. I got out of bed later than I should have (sat in bed for like 40 minutes feeling like crap, and debating whether or not I could handle a shower). I ended up taking the shower, and skipped conditioning my hair since that would have made my shower longer. I used some heat protector product in my hair before drying it, and because it's so thick I didn't get it fully dry between applying makeup between drying rounds. Needless to say after my shift at work, I was out of spoons and in bed for the night.
I think I'll do a swatch of Penelope and Pumpkin Spice pressed shadow (limited edition, should be back in the fall), because they look quite similar in color and are both from the same company, Sugarpill. Also the Cosmic Metals gloss is so thick, I'm not sure it was worth applying the lipstick under it, even though I didn't use as much gloss (I spread it out in the hopes it would make an interesting mixture of lip colors).
Makeup of the day:
Eyeshadow- From the Carli Bybel palette by BH Cosmetics. I applied the middle shadow of the top row applied as a matte base. When the bronze shadow wasn't applying as vibrantly as I wanted, I added a couple of drops of setting spray to apply it wet (which you can see in the palette, second from the right on the middle row).
Lip color- Man Eater by Colourpop.
So this lip color is very similar to the Cosmic Metals in Speed of Light by Nyx cosmetics, but not nearly as thick. It's creamy and smooth while the Nyx one was thick and sticky. The color is slightly different, I'll have to do a swatch comparison sometime for you.
