okok i have a kinda dynamic meiko hc where she changes a lot throughout her life and um … at first she fit the image she was given the most, the tight clothes, the color red, the rack, the drinks, everything. she had a fiery personality and was pretty reckless too and not good at watching how much drinks she was consuming, but she was the life of the party and she didnt care about how much she drank. she didnt care what people said about her. she didnt care about anything until the next morning when her head felt heavy and when everything was a blur and jeez what is she doing here, is that vomit, and who the hell said that about her last night ? ? ?but it was a cycle. every night she’d drink and love it, and the next day, she was cursing at everything and sulking and despising the feeling of being disrespected and degraded all because of one stupid programmed addiction that was meant to help her fit a certain “audience.” she hated it.
but ofc the high nd mighty meiko cant really admit that can she.. ? (and she did feel high and mighty then.) but kaito was the one who kinda said that it wasnt right the way she was being treated and the way she was treating herself. and tbh she didnt really talk much to kaito, she was just told that he was crv2 and she was crv1 and wow there should be a deeper connection but guess not??tbh she thought about there being a connection bc he almost always came to her but she didnt want to think about it
at first meiko was kinda??creeped out by kaito well not “creeped out” she just thought he was a weirdo. and an idiot. and rly dense and easy to manipulate and just??she didnt get why he was so soft and tbh it bothered her because man up already, why is she paired with a moron like him . .. and she didnt like how he was always concerned for her even when she was rude and snappy and just jeez a terrible person, he frustrated her, he was embarrassing and he made her embarrassed and somedays she just wished that he never ever existed bc at the bar, it didnt matter who you were. everyone else was a stranger. but him?? he was there everyday, watching and actually caring and trying to convince that she had enough like some creeper or w/e who thought they could run her life (and out of spite, she would purposely down another glass and then regret it the next morning and regret it even more when all the strangers were gone but that certain idiot but she’d be too tired to even take it out on him,she just wanted to cry and disappear bc its so pathetic to look like this in front of him of all people, and she didnt even know why it was him who made her feel like this and she didnt even want to remember the whole crv1-crv2 spiel and in the end it came back and she just yelled at him some more and got madder when he just took the insults)
but tbh she would have been totally lost without him. and so little by little they began to rub off on each other and once the kagamines were made, meiko tried to stop her drinking habits and kaito tried to maybe get her into eating icecream saying that the taste was a different kind of addicting and might even help her, and she actually agreed with him that time and they chilled and talked about life and she considered apologizing to him but the moment she was about to do that, as if he knew, he said that he had to leave and stuff and that she could keep the icecream, he was full, and she went back to being mad at him for not even letting her say that she wasnt mad at him ;; was it selfish or selfless or sadistic or what, what was up with him . .
but it helped and she got better and they got better and she understands that she owes him a lot and tbh to most people, the relationship is mainly onesided where kaito does everything and gets verbal abuse and w/e, but its not. not anymore. meiko helps out and tries to do more than her share to make up for the stuff she did (she wont admit the reason though — shes still high ‘nd mighty and has too big an ego to admit that and a certain kagamine mightve caught onto that trait bc some things never change) and she feels like shes indebted to him. she wouldnt bother explaining it to him bc its kinda embarrassing and also he wouldnt get it bc he didnt really think too much about the things he did for her. he just did it because its who he is. and thats why hes the biggest idiot there is, and even better, hes her idiot.
