The reason why the ending of get in the water isn't as haunting as the ones in love in paradise is because the voices that Odysseus hears aren't from his head, aren't screaming at him with the last words of blame that keep repeating in his mind. It's meant to be peaceful, as the souls want to drag him down to death, to give him peace
