Need Help Packin’? (Closed: Derek, Cora)
Scott looked around his bedroom, boxes in piles along the walls. It was so ... bare. It made Scott feel sad-- no, not sad. Sentimental. This was where he’d grown up. His childhood was spent in this room. So much had happened in this room and this house. Friendships had been spent here. Relationships. The positives and the negatives. His life changed and changed over and over here and now Scott was saying goodbye to the room.
It felt liberating to be leaving and moving in with Derek and Cora. Scott thought of his mum, but he had to just trust that she would be okay. He’d move out eventually and he couldn’t stay forever. And he could always visit. Tears fell down his face but he was smiling.
A soft knock at the door woke Scott from his thoughts. He wiped his eyes and turned around. “Hey,” he said softly with a smile. “Let’s do this.”
