I was back out on the Thame yesterday with a new enthusiastic explorer, but in the past week the water level has dropped by at least 30cm. This meant we had to find new routes through or around the obstacles of my previous adventure. With a sunny day on the forecast it felt like ideal coracling conditions, so accompanied by @hannahmatthe.ws we set out to explore a section of the River Thame. Despite being very close to home it felt as though we were forging a path through uncharted waters. Out today for a water borne adventure, where an upper Thames tributary had burst it's banks and overtopped the nearby road. Two traditional and one modern covered coracle made their way out of the workshop today, after a marathon sewing session from the calico covered crew. One boat's gone to live in Peterborough while the other two took a shorter trip to Chertsey this afternoon.
