For just $210.00 I could hardly contain my excitement upon finding this spectacular antique 19th century Wedgwood Majolica pitcher. Such a beauty! Standing at 6 1/2" tall. Marks on base date it to 1880. Wedgwood was very specific in their marking. Victorian era. The colors are beautiful with a shell pink interior, framed in yellow and a nice sea or teal blue background. Small pottery seashell for your thumb on the pitcher. The seashells are in a pale yellow along with brown to pink. Coral seaweed is in greens and pink. Would this not look lovely in your beach side cottage? Perfect for your period design in your Victorian home. Finding one of these 140 year old Majolica pottery pieces in perfect condition is near to impossible and this one is no exception. CONDITION> Pictures 9 and 10 shows the detail of this pitcher's flaws. There is cracking at the base underneath the handle. Some glaze chips under top of handle and base. Some small flea bites on rim. This pitcher will still display BEAUTIFULLY! It in not for use. Display only. *IMPORTANT* Please see all pictures as they are a part of the description.
