Hesitantly reaching out, dainty fingers softly tugged the Ace's shirt, "Hey, Dai-chan, did you remember to write down what we had for Chem homework?" She knew more than anyone that he didn't bother about practice so why would he care about education? Still, she asked anyways. They'd usually walk together along with idle chatter but today was a different case. Things have been awfully quiet and she wondered if things were alright, "Is...everything okay?"
Slowly rotating his neck in a circular motion, the dark ace responded back with a slight hum. Well, he should of acknolwedged his childhood friend with something. Something more vocally direct but his rampaging thoughts didn’t intend on letting him go. His shoulders straightened subconsciously, thinking about any opportunities that would steer away from this conversation.
“Is everything okay?”
What’s okay? What is she trying to imply? Nothing is wrong because honestly nothing mattered anymore. Nothing ever came close to ‘significance’ anyways. Restraining himself to keep his cool composure, he defiantly mustered all of his facial expression to not give away anything. It wasn’t hard. As the tanned basketball player remained silent, his intestines and organs twisted into an destructive mayhem. So many excuses and yet words were not enough. They were too inexpressive. Words are meaningless unless you actually carry them out. It’s too late though. Then it came to him…Why the fuck was he overthinking about something so irrelvant yet again?
“M’ fine.”
