Leaning his back against the abrasive walls outside of his apartment, the power forward stared at the concreted surface below him. Preparing for the foreseeable hostile phrases being thrown at him, he grinned smugly. What a great way to announce his presence without adding more than unnecessary. After all, the tanned ace clearly remembered last year’s memories. Simply it was three words that caused complete chaos between them. Seaweed flavoured chocolate. Good old times. Remaining uncommunicative, the tanned ace made no abrupt verbal movements. Instead, slender dark fingers moved forwards, offering his former captain a gift. It was a small package of seaweed chocolate. Yep. His smirk widened at Akashi’s facial expression. Before he could stick around and witness further, the power forward turned around and strolled off. “I’ll come pick you up at seven? But it’s entirely up to you.” Disguised carefully, inside the supposedly seaweed flavoured chocolate box held a booking letter. Aomine had already booked reservations for a secluded restaurant. It looked traditional and shit. Thought it looked kinda nice. Akashi had the choice to either use that booking to dine in with someone else of his choice or to go with Aomine. He could care less what decision the redhead chose. Aomine was killing time and he thought, he’d make up for lost time. Not that— well, hopefully, nothing has changed between them. He has heard of boisterous reviews and how much he raved about the mapo tofu. Somewhere secluded and private sounded like it suited the midget’s preferences as well. Unreadable cobalt orbs stared at the ground in keenness, imagining how he’d have to forbear the others rage to subside later. And for once, the dark ace wasn’t even going to try and defend himself.
The more time passed without even insignificant contact with each other, the more flamboyant their reunion happened to be every time. Frequently it just spoiled another holiday with new verbal fight, that included high intelligent insults from the redhead and mockery from the taller male’s side. The reminiscences of the previous year event still stuck to his mind, without even slight attempt to disappear, as only one person could think of presenting chocolate with the abhorrent to him flavour. And something within him at that moment also whispered warningly, as that year wouldn’t be an exception as well; nevertheless, how things would turn and what could possibly occur he could never depicture—
In an instant his gaze fell upon the box he was given, Akashi unclenched his fingers and with dull sound the object fell down; piercing heterochromatic stare was directed up at the other, as he stood whist, yet eloquent look with threatening dark shadow across his features were enough for the another to satisfy his need in ridicule. Just like in old times. Nothing had changed. However he wasn’t capable to state, if it was a good sign or not, in the end repulsive manners of his ace remained as well, what could’t not to beget more displeasure in him. Spoken words transformed his discontented expression into questioning and even inquisitive, as causes for the second meeting in one day weren’t comprehensible for him. Only his wit and suspicion toward the other’s actions forced him to transfer his attention from parting man to the box, that lay on the ground; squinted and sharp glance detected papers or tickets (??), that seemed to slide out, when the box was dropped. Without a trice of hesitance he took all objects in his hands and proceeded to inspect catching material, or more to say invitation, it contained.
An utterly distinct chuckle escaped through parted lips, after dual-colored hues ceased to draw his attentive regard over the reservation booklet. It was unforeseen, to say the least, especially coming from the tanned teen, yet he couldn’t disguise own amusement and mayhap anticipation toward the ‘main part’ of Aomine’s present. He wasn’t known for courteous behavior, more for lack of manners and decent conduct, thus to partake in whatever the other had on mind had to be fascinating. His hand grabbed the phone to type decision regarding found tickets and upcoming attendance, whilst thin line of lips was still stretched into ambiguous smile.
