This is for the amazing @aslansblessings who made a headcannon AGES ago, and I had promised her a fic... oops. This is really short and super late but I hope you like it!
“How is this entertaining in any way?” Corin shouted at his twin. “Aravis has got another horrid suitor, we should at least protect her.
Cor laughed. “She can protect herself.”
“How are you so calm. You should be worse than me, you’re in l-” Corin was cut off.
“Not another word.” Cor glared at his brother. “We are friends, that is all.”
“Right.” Corin smirked. “Hurry up and admit it, so you can get married, and get these horrid suitors out of this castle.”
Cor threw a pillow at his brother.
The sound of Prince Corin Thunderfist spitting out a mouthful of pillow was very satifying as Cor marched out the door.
“Our guests from Narnia are arriving today. I wish to make myself presentable.’ Aravis said, her expression cold.
Cor, standing some feet away and leaning on the wall, smirked at the look on the suitor’s face.
“Of course,” he said, in an attempt to recover. “I shall escort you to your chanbers.” he said, offering his arm, a slight smirk on his face. Apparently escort meant something differnt where he was from.
“Do you consider yourself a gentleman, sir?” Aravis asked.
He looked taked aback once more. “My lady-”
“Do you consider yourself a gentleman?” she reiterated.
She cut in. “Because a true gentleman knows that I would only let a suitor that I am interested in marrying escort me anywhere. I do not wish to court you. If you would be so kind as to leave me alone I would greatly apprectiate it.”
Looking humiliated, the man mumbled, “Of course.” and slipped away.
Once he was out of earshot, Cor’ssilent snickers turned into a full blown laugh.
Rolling her eyes at him, Aravis snapped, “Oh do be quite Cor.” and storme up to her chambers.
But, (and this might have been wishful thinking on his part) her voice was fond.
