I was given a birthday card by @kuriarty ...
“Corbeau, I want to take out a shady loan.”
“… What do you want? I'll just buy it.”
“No, this is for a joke. I need a contract.”
“… No.”
“Please. I need a shady loan from you for this.”
Corbeau sighs and begins typing something on his laptop, “Fine, but I will hold you responsible for all the clauses.”
“Yeah, so only do it for 100,000 p, I made that last night.”
“… Hmm…”
A piece of paper is printed and presented to you alongside a pen.
“Sign here, and here, and here.” His finger danced around the page.
You rose the pen to do what he said. He took the papers after you were finished.
“So, now, as my spouse, tell me why you wanted a shady contract as a joke?”
“As your what.”
“… You didn't even read it. We're legally married now.”
You could only stare at him.
The texting Emmet drunk post makes me wonder how different guys would respond to a drunken request to send a picture of their Pokémon. Like, who complies vs being like “where are you, are you okay!?”
Whenever Corbeau has to protect you from danger, he has his grunts escort you away. Philippe may also join you depending on how dangerous it is, however.
Whenever you are in danger in front of Grisham, he always moves you behind him. Though, if Griselle is nearby, she may come in to try to shield you both. If Grisham scolds her, she comes to your side to protect you.
Danger around Ivor is settled by his fists. Should Gwynn be near, she comes to your side to deadpan watch her brother. You both never are in any true danger.
Child Ingo and Emmet both awkwardly cuddling their two partner pokemon and trying to ignore the flames/soul stealing and electrical shocks.
Child Cyrus sadly hiding his Rotom and braving the electrical shocks.
Child Corbeau having to down so many pecha berries due to getting poisoned by his beloved friend, Venipede.
Child Lance sleeping in a straight log position alongside his Dratini.
Child Grimsley waking up because his Purrloin decided to lay herself across his face. She is loudly purring
Child Steven happily cuddling his Beldum, completely uncaring of the cool and hard body of the pokemon.
You carried the Venipede in your arms, watching the little bug settle in and stare forward. The pokemon had been a gift from Corbeau, a sign of his affection and attachment. You grew quite adoring to the gift, finding the more meek behaviour of the grub charming. Giving a light scratch to the pokemon's carapace, you listened to it let out a trill, and raise up into the touch. You now entirely understood how Corbeau felt about his Scolipede if he had cared for this creature in his youth.
Corbeau watches you eye his tattoos as he picks out a shirt for the meeting he has at Le Wow later that day. Your gaze is intense as you take in the ink. It was far from your first time seeing them, yet you gazed at them intensely. He cocked a brow. Maybe you just wanted to appreciate the artistry. Who was he to stop you? He continued his search and picked out a white button down— best to go clean cut for this one.
"You done admiring my tattoos?" he asked as he turned around, shirt laying on his arm. Your brows furrowed.
Finally, you spoke.
"I never noticed before, but... Is your ass tattooed, too?"
He proceeded to walk into the bathroom to finish getting ready without answering your question.
“What was your first opinion on Lumiose when you go off the train,” Corbeau smiled, wishing to know your thoughts about the city he so loved. You had come to protect it, so assuredly it must have been instant love and praise.
“Oh, so my bag got stolen, and I had to fight some people to get it back. Also, my now-friend harassed me to be in an ad fresh off the train.”
Corbeau went silent. Then, he blinked and looked at his laptop. There was another urge to trap your friend in suffocating debt again alongside whoever dared steal your bag.
