I’m sorry but I adore the idea of calling one of the guys a Pokémon’s mama bc I know you’d get strange looks from most of them.
Handing Volo his Togepi and telling him she was “looking for mama” and he just takes his egg daughter like “haha yeah… wait…”
Seeing Hoopa messing around with Lear and asking the creature “aw, are you playing with mama?” And he just… looks at you…
Please I’m cackling
"Are you looking for your mama?" to a Joltik. It hops up and down and lets out a chirp. You then carry it to Emmet and alert them that you have found mama. Emmet embraces it for but a moment and coos that mama is right here. You give the strange look this time.
"Do you want mama?" you ask a confused Litwick staring at Ingo on the phone. He has to pause to glance at you. There is nothing more said as he continues his call.
"Did mama lock you out?" You ask the poor, mrowing Meowth. The door to the police station opens as Nanu stares unamused. He takes the Meowth in and shuts the door. You gasp in offence.
Holding a Beldum that Steven is caring for while seeing it acting strange. "Missing mama?" you asked. It lets out a cry. Steven, who is dusting a stone nearby, has to physically pause to process that. Especially when you hand the Beldum to him.
"Mama is hungover again, isn't he?" you ask the Liepard watching Grimsley nurse a headache with coffee. He shoots a tired glance at you. Leipard lets out a meow in concurrence.
"Your mama is ignoring you..." you pet the poor Wimpod as it stares adoringly at Guzma. He stops whatever conversation he is having with Plumeria to look at you. He then picks up the Wimpod while loudly calling himself dad.
The oracle will behold the truth...
I made a quiz to find the PokeMan for you.
Forum online for human partners of hybrids to discuss various things with each other and pool information.
newcoffeelover: "I love my Charizard bf, but it is currently nearly 40c where we are and cuddling with him is impossible. He acts so sad that I don't want to."
mtchimneyenjoyer: "My Camerupt husband is the same way! He literally acts like he is not burning hot when we live in a region where winter is a suggestion."
newcoffeelover: "Fire types are more cuddly that I thought... I thought it was because he was also a dragon, technically."
yamanoryuu: "Partner of a Dragonite hybrid here – the dragon part is not helping. Mine works himself endlessly and then acts like I'll disappear the moment he lets me go after he comes home. Thankfully, he's cold-blooded, though."
newcoffeelover: "I think I have the worst deal."
Honestly, some of the pokemen hearing the phrase "I need to get him pregnant" in relation to themselves might result in amusing reactions.
Grimsley barks out a laugh and says he's not letting that happen.
Nanu deadpans and walks away without responding. Best not to encourage these things.
Ingo gets blushy and pulls his brim over his eyes before responding that he wishes that were possible. He then coughs and pretends he did not mumble that.
Emmet gives a monotone laugh and then says no quite plainly.
Colress notes his biology makes that impossible, but he finds it fascinating that someone desires that. He will psychologically analyse them.
Cyrus glares. He says nothing. He walks off. For the rest of the day, however, he seethes on it.
Lear gasps in offence. The audacity! He will be the one impregnating as is his duty as crown prince and future king!
Volo stares in silence for a moment. He then pretends to change the topic to something more interesting.
Dulse questions human biology. Is that typical? He cannot be impregnated, he informs.
N asks if they desire an egg with him. The situation becomes more confusing.
Steven tilts his head. He does not get it. If Wallace is near, he leads the conversation away from that.
Lance is startled. Is that a threat...? What does that mean?! Karen, if nearby, laughs, which makes his distress even worse.
Corbeau glares and raises their debt. He has no time for such nonsense.
Grisham drops his coffee pot. Why. Griselle shouts at the customer and chases them off.
Larry just nods. He does not say anything besides that acknowledging gesture.
Hassel gasps. He has heard his students say that— It is a compliment, right? He thanks the person.
Which characters were ready for parenthood and which ones weren't?
Ingo was... He argues he has been training his entire life to be a parent in being the older brother. (Not realising ten minutes isn't really... a big enough difference.) Mostly, he prepares himself by reading up on what to expect and how to help manage a child.
Emmet has no idea what he is doing. He was a bit shocked, but he is a fast learner and takes to being a dad very quickly. He also wanted kids, so he was mentally prepared.
Cyrus has no idea what to do. How to do. Why to do. He is just. Distressed. He never once envisioned himself being a father. He must grapple with himself throughout the pregnancy until there is an actual child to perceive. (At which he focuses entirely on being the dad he wishes he had.)
Grimsley is shocked and appalled and half debates skipping out. However, he is far too attached to his partner to do so, which means... He remains. He has no idea how to be a dad or what to do at all, but... he'll figure something out, surely. It's just a single baby, right? <- unaware
i find it so interesting griselle's hair resembles the male pyroar mane while grisham's hair the female pyroar mane
Classic design switch up... It was meta-narratively to throw the player off – Griselle has a male Pyroar that she mega evolves, and Grisham has a female Pyroar. You expect the idea that sense they are members of the same group, they both evolve Pyroars. Except, they don't. Grisham megas his Charizard.
It also helps convey their personalities – Griselle is threatening and protective of their territory (like a male lion), but she is not actively going out to hunt down any "prey." Grisham, meanwhile, is absolutely wreaking havoc in the Royale.
This dex entry alone reflects a lot on Griselle. She is fiercely protective of Grisham and their ideals...
Of course, personality wise, I will say Grisham takes after Charizard more.
These are assorted things I actually keep in mind lol.
Every time I see this meme circulate, I get annoyed about people ignoring subtext.
Giovanni is a Yakuza and arguably is just evil, but he is also just focused on business and making money. He respects strength, and when he gets his ass kicked multiple times by children, he just gives up.
Cyrus is an abuse victim attacking the world because he was never able to find his place in it. He arguably is a bit sympathetic, as shown in Platinum, since he views spirit as some ultimate evil plaguing everyone and wants to "better" the world. Otherwise he just wants to fuck off and be by himself. (As seen by the original plans in DP and his fate in Platinum.) Hell, they even show he can be swayed into rethinking things in USUM.
Lysandre seems to have had a mental break and convinced himself up to that point through yes-men and no one daring to properly question him due making a cult of sorts. As seen through was Griselle and Grisham say, the original intention of Flare was not anything bad. Sycamore just needed to call him out. Zygarde even digs his ass out to help fix things since he is not generally bad-natured.
Rose is being a dumbass and a victim of the writing of SwSh. He just screams venture capitalist going too far. Not evil in the wanting to hurt people sense, but evil in the unknowing, apathetic sense.
Admittedly, I have not looked too much into Ghetsis, but there seems to be something going with the fact he has a physical disability that goes unexplained. His actions are of a man desperate for power and going through any means necessary to get there. Colress hating him probably says a lot.
Volo is a traumatised man whose clan is seemingly wiped out and forgotten plus having faced isolation as an outsider and watching colonisers come in and claim his ancestral land. We are lucky his plans are only to make a better world (whatever that means). He seems to have some kind of mania in the end as while he is still scheming, he does not truly lose it until the ending.
Maxie and Archie are idiots. Yes. Good intentioned idiots, but idiots nonetheless.
Lusamine has her character fractured, but I am biased to say she represents a mother with either an addition or a form of brain damage. How she acts, switching from genuinely loving and caring to absolutely vicious and cruel... I have dealt with something similar in real life, and it is like having two different people as a mother.
Penny is like 14. She is barely a villain. Maybe it's genetic considering her uncle. Either way, Peony made sure she did not continue to be a vigilante probably.
