7:Angel and Cordelia from Angel
Some people might be angry because I am going to say that right now Angel and Buffy are not on my list of top couples. That being said, I did like them as a couple when they were one, but I always thought that they were each other’s “first love” and not necessarily their real loves. This is also the only couple where I had one of the people in a different ship. For me Angel’s real love was Cordelia. She changed so much from what she started as on Buffy. She became such a strong woman, the heart of the group. Cordeila really grounds Angel and as Fred says she is a champion. They are one and the same and yet they are different and balance each other out perfectly. They both just light up when they see each other. They have one of the most intense relationships to me and yet it is also so simple. They made the best little happy family, and I am really sad that they never actually got together. The show took a weird turn with them and in the end Cordelia died which is just typical, but I really think that they were the one for each other.
“I can’t remember what it was like- not knowing you, not being close to you. I’m in love with you Angel. Deep down I think I have been for a long time. I needed you to know that.”
Favorite Moment: When they are being possessed by spirits at a ballet that make them act out a love scene. I love how funny and yet how beautiful it is. How it doesn't “wear off” and when it is all over Angel says that he is glad they did not go too far because he would want it to be something special when and if it happened with them.
