Stormer and Stringer's class reunion doesn't go as planned

Hunter Sting was a hero who was equipped with an energy-draining weapon by the Doctor that could put machines into their powered-down state for easy incarsination. The power was addicting however and on one mission Hunter separated his team and took them down one by one stealing their core power. He managed to kill three of them before he was incapacitated by the team leader. This incident led the Hero Factory to look into the Doctor's other experiments where they discovered several other immoral experiments. The Doctor was banished, Hunter was incarcerated and had his core surgically removed, and the weapon was repurposed for use by mining robots to keep them charged longer. Hunter escaped several times becoming an assassin for hire going by the name "Core Hunter" known for his particular effectiveness against heroes, brutal tactics, and keeping of trophies from each kill. Eventually, he was caught again and reincarcerated until the historic mass breakout

Hero Factory: Rebooted - The Day That Changed Hero Factory Forever (additional story) Preview

“By Makuro…” Stormer asked, eyeing the figure before him. “What have you done?”

“I guess we can call it an ‘upgrade’.” Von Nebula looked down at his free hand. As if on command, it became surrounded in the same dark fog as the one around them. In seconds, the energy turned white. So did the fugitive's strange spikes and the empty eyes. “This was completely accidental though. My working theory is that this place has some connection to Tarantulas Nebulon... Heh. Look, look!”

Without any warning, he raised his hand. The Heroes stepped back and pointed their weapons at the centre where they had been standing a just second ago. Something began rising from the ground, twisting, building on itself, and then…

The mist fell and they saw a black table with twelve empty chairs.

“Why don’t you all have a seat?” The not-Hero chuckled, almost innocently. “You still like coffee, right Stormer? Or are you more of a soda guy now?”

Something began forming on the table, and in seconds, they saw a perfect replica of a metal can. It was a limited-edition Robo-Drink soda with Stormer’s face on it. The Alpha Leader took a glance at it, then glared at the figure.

“Yeah, I’ve seen that advertisement.” He nodded, placing both hands on top of the crystal of his staff. His fingers began tapping on its surface, which sent a bunch of shivers down Hunter’s spine. “Somehow, they managed to perfectly capture just how big your head is.”
