Tried to use almost entirely period accurate pieces for the 2012 Ordeal of Fire wave but there were a handful of exceptions. Really happy with how this figure turned out and the justice that was done for the Fire Lord frame.

made some mini hero factory mocs. technically they are supposed to be in scale with how big i think heroes are compared to humans based off the old commercials.
close ups and headcannons/design details of each under the cut
I made furno the most similar to his 1.0 form because hes like the poster child so i figures he should be close to the most basic of basic heros. I made him first and copied his frame to be edited by for the others. also look its Guy (oc) and also the size comparison.
I gave surge over the shoulder style armor as every twink should have
For breeze I leaned into her gimmick and made her more animalistic. im actually really happy with how the helmet turned out on this one. breeze has the wrong secondary color here, shes supposed to be a dark silver.
to point out the differences in age i gave all the rookies holographic hair but the veterans all have physical hair.
obviously i made bulk big, his name is bulk. hes supposed to have a pink core but the rendering didnt work and this kind of looks better anyway. is he pondering or flexing? the world may never know...
I had a lot of fun with stringer's rock and roll aesthetic. his armor is meant to look like a cropped, spiked jacket and ripped jeans. obviously he has a mohawk. i wanted there to be a more animal like one in each trio and i think that works well for stringer so he has a short tail and pointed ears. stringer changes his secondary color every half cycle. I loved his guitar gun from breakout so he has something similar here.
I made stormer shorter and stockier than the others. and yes it does bother him that furno is taller than him. he strikes me as a very practical guy so his armor has a lot more coverage than some of the others. i gave him the stereotypical soldier buzz cut with a tiny bit of spike to tie in the ice gimmick. his final neck design is different from the one i originally rendered here. bro stop mogging at the camera...
similar to how i used the hair to set apart the rookies and veterans the defining detail for the new generation heroes is that they have three armor colors rather than just two. some of their hair is physical some of it is holographic. i think these hero's physical hair would be more of a plastic material while the veterans would have metal hair.
for evo i really preferred her original personality in ordeal of fire than the basic soldierboy we got in breakout. oh yeah also she/her evo jumpscare. Her armor is meant to mimic a toga to tie back to her original sort of monk/ninja aesthetic. to go along with that she also has a staff weapon with a gun on the end. she is by far the tallest but also the skinniest. also the purple is back wahoo. couldnt decide on evo's hair color so its different in the group shot. still not really sure about it.
i made nex a tiny kitty cat and go by they/them pronouns because i can do whatever I want. to tie into their tech theme i gave them transparent parts to be reminiscent of retro transparent technology and gave them drones to command as their main weapon. nex is my favorite :3
the golden boy! i mean any pronouns, HRT really is amazing... rocka always had a bit of a knight thing going on so i leaned into that by giving them the most fuckoff enormous sword ever. the sword shoots beams of energy when swung btw. i definetly could not make a good replica of rockas helmet at this scale but i think i got the idea of it. i gave her a mane-like hairstyle to tie into her savage planet form.
all of their heads and faces underneath the helmets were based off of some drawings i made of what i thought they would look like.
