Vintage Christmas Gift Tags/Tree Ornaments
With Christmas right around the corner, now is a great time to get a jump start on creating specialty gift tags to embellish your packages… Instructions and materials follow for two new gift tag projects:
Materials Used: Sizzix Bigz die designed by Scrappy Cat: Item#657109 Flower Layers #9Sizzix Texture Impressions folder designed by Scrappy Cat: Item# 651113 Cottage Style Sizzix Eclips Cartridge designed by Scrappy Cat: Item #656888 Christmas and Traditions Alphabet Coredinations Cardstock and Sandpaper Darice rhinestone Button from Jo-Ann’s Felt, embroidery floss and ribbon Ink: Scrappy Cat pigment ink pad, black Clear Stamp: Scrappy Cat Christmas clear stamps (Jo-Ann’s) Tag #1:
1. Using the eclips cartridge, cut out 3 tags (brown, burgundy and tan).
2. Stamp Merry Christmas using Scrappy Cat clear stamp and ink.
3. Cut and assemble felt flowers and sew together layers and attach button.
4. Add ribbon. Tag #2:
1. Using the Eclips cartridge, cut out 2 tags (one in burgundy and the other in tan)
2. Using the Cottage Style Textured Impression plate, emboss and sand the burgundy tag.
3. Adhere tags together.
4. Using the Flower Layers die, cut out a green flower using the largest flower and several four petal flowers in green, burgundy and tan. Sew together the flowers with a needle and embroidery floss. Create and sew a loop at the top of the flower. *Note: the flower will become a keepsake Christmas ornament after it is removed from the tag. 5. Add self stick rhinestone to the center of the flower.
