16th July 2016: To walk or Ride,

07:45 Nath’s awake and practically falls out of the roof tent, i peer at my phone and decide there is no way i’m getting up at this time based on the fact last night i didn’t sleep well. Took a few hours for everyone to finally get up and go, Dale & Dale had planned to walk up Pen Y Fan Mountain, Fish & Dec no idea what had planned but they didn't seem keen on walking.

We on the other hand were heading to Shrewsbury to attend the second round of the BXW Series. It was a long old drive (1 hour 30mins) but felt like a day of driving maybe it was due to still have the tremor like speed wobble and the truck being so warm. In the end we arrived and the day was a blast.

After the event a local family invited those who were camping to stay in there large garden area with friends, there was fire, beer, awful jokes and the husband was stoked on our defender he was quick to mention his Series 1 build that was in the workshop, i wasn't going to be shy “be sweet to see” so there it was a 1959 rolling chassis, all clean and pristine. Talking us through what he found difficult and that he's building it with his young son, to which i then turned to the young lad and said listen to your dad you'll learn a lot.

So that was an awesome end to the day, more beer from my mini keg and i was ready for another night in the roof tent, which does need airing as its rather musky  (another job)
