She wondered if there was a nice way to put I’m busy grieving my ruined reputation and my loss of loved ones, please make this quick or make yourself scarce. That was no way to speak to their hero, but she really wasn’t in the mood to speak with anyone.

   “…–What?” barks the teen incredulously. Eyes narrowing to tiny slits, she returns the ginger’s persistent gaze. He says nothing. Tilting her head back, Retsu scrunches her face in distaste until her chin begins to morph into her neck.

      “……–What!”

            Nothing.

   And just as she is about to get up to pummel the boy’s ass to get a proper explanation for his behavior, he’s suddenly striding towards her, closing the gap between them in seconds. Her reflexes aren’t fast enough to escape his grip as he scoops her up into his arms.

“J–Just what the shit drugs are you on!?”
