one of my all time favorite character tropes is something i call the fancy gunman. you may know if you have yourself a fancy gunman if they:

have a cool ass coat

use a pistol or rifle as primary weapon (NEVER modern machine gun)

eyewear (monocle or glasses but not always necessary)

may be an inventor or tinkerer of other kinds

has some sort of Issue™ around women (dead sister, scorned fiancée, etc)

lovesick and sensitive

may also be gay or bisexual

long hair sometimes but not always

The trope tends to live mostly in steampunk or adjacent settings, or worlds with steampunk technology elements, and seems to have evolved from the tradition of fancy 1800s guys going out to shoot rifles as a fancy high class sport, not the more modern attitude we have around guns today

for anon! the outer frame is mean to make it look like the flag is on a tv screen and the inner stripes are fun, silly, cartoony colors. the wavy stripes represent lack of overarching plot and going on adventures. the term is 'silly', 'show', 'kid', + 'corian', a suffix for genders related to -core aesthetics in a way that doesn't fit the -coric suffix!
