Ahhhhhh probably not...? I’m honestly not sure how much exposition I’ll include yet.

It’s going to be set mostly in the HxH world, with excursions back to Soul Society where Toushiro and Ichigo will sit down and be like “how do we save them (Killua, Gon, Leorio, Kurapika) without breaking laws” and then realize they don’t *really* care. But it’s mostly going to be in the HxH world.

I’ll probably make Ichigo the HxH-world noob for expository purposes, if necessary!

Fanfic daydream

About three days ago after doing another all nighter to read another 350ish-500ish pages of Corisanna’s As N Approaches Infinity, a ‘hilarious’ day dream entered my headspace. It was a battle against Walpurgnaist, shingami running about with Homura assisting with guns above Kakura Town.

(For whatever reason, it came to me in a manga format, which is kind of why it’s so daggum funny in the first place.)

Sayaka is watching the battle in the distance from a sidewalk staircase with Kyubey sitting nearby.

Sayaka’s inner thoughts: They are all fighting, to protect everyone who can’t fight. The dead-shingami-people, Homura, Mami-senpai, everyone is being useful cuz they have their powers...

Inner thoughts continued: I... I want to be useful, even if I die, even if Strippy-hat’s backup plan works... I still want to fight back.

Sayaka looks away from the battle to Kyubey.

Sayaka: “Kyubey, I wish to control my Witch as a magical girl, without becoming a Witch to do it.”

Cue Sayaka’s normal transformation from anime.

Cut-scene to close up of Homura (somehow using flash step or some kind of other standbattleonair technique) tossing grenades at groups of familiars rather close to Walpurgnast. Familiars explode, and Octavia von Witch’s blade thwack-lunges into Walpurgnast in a thrust RIGHT PAST Homura’s pole-axed face. Miki yelling a battle cry as she follows the disembodied (as in, the wolf-captain’s bankai styled kind) arm of her Witch while flinging herself past Homura, whose face goes into reactive-shock before I snapped myself out of the dream from laughing so much at polaxed Homura. Dear lord....
