Tonight pipe is my MM Diplomat filled with Carter Hall, a nice easy combo for a long and boring night shift. I haven't read anything really interesting lately but tonight I started on Christopher Brookmeyer's laters book Want You Gone, so far its quite good although not so much comedy as his earlier ones.

Despite appearances to the contrary this is not today's pipe. Today's pipe was my Altinok Meerschaum PSF POY 2015 which I filled with a bowl of legends when I went out for a drive earlier. I then had tea with Mum and went round past the squadron to do some drill practice. Unfortunately it went down hill after that, I got soaked through because I gave my jacket to someone else and the staff decided to go out for a drink. Five drinks later I'm home, I need a shower and to shave before my alarm goes off at 8 am (just under 7 hours from now!) and I've decided that another drink and today's pipe 2.0 will do the job. Today's pipe 2.0 is my MM Freehand which I cut down a few years ago because I didn't like the rough top filled with Dunhill Standard Mixture and accompanied by another glass of Famous Grouse.

Today's pipe was my MM General

I did some tidying this morning and then went to pick up my kilts from the dry cleaners and on to my sisters for tea. I was smoking my MM General filled with Carter Hall for my drive out and then re-lit it for the drive home. I'm planning on an early night tonight as I'm back on days tomorrow, in really not looking forward to it but I'll have to endure.

My pipe for tonight. An MM. MacArthur, I packed this pipe with SWR last Saturday night and have only just gotten around to lighting up. a glass of Grouse to accompany my relaxing Friday night.
