will eating it all up, grin as bright as the sun, singing with him and laughing. will pulling chance down into multiple kisses, enamored, because only He gets to see this dorky side of chance and he can’t get enough of it! he’s so lucky! how’d he get so lucky! he wasn’t dreaming, right?

chance offering to cook dinner their first official night moved in instead of them ordering takeout, wanting to jumpstart the domesticity. will stands beside him the whole time, helping in little but effective ways. chance protests, but he never chases will off, because by his side is where will belonged (holding his waist half the time didn’t hurt, either).

the two of them eating together on the floor in front of the tv. their couch is half-assembled. the air is still chilly. the coffee table they’d recently bought was still wrapped up in its box.

will pressing his side into chance’s, looping his arm with his as they finish up dinner. chance wrapping his arms around will’s middle, his fingers brushing under will’s sweater and leaving a trail of goosebumps in its wake as he goes in for dessert.

will sighing happily as reality settles in that after years of believing he’d never have this, that he wouldn’t live to see this future for himself, for them, he actually did. after being terrified of losing chance for good to the hell they’ve had to live through, he actually had a home with him; not just in one way, but in many.

they’d left their demons behind in hawkins, no longer held hostage by their claws, and they never looked back. scars remained, of course they did, but they faded bit by bit with every soft kiss and murmured sweet nothing. every nightmare was soothed. every problem was (eventually) resolved, even after petty and defensive words. every tear was brushed away.

every day was cherished.

I’m reading mistborn era 1 for the first time and all I gotta say is WoA Zane pov’s read like those cheesy “Once… upon a villian 😈” books.
