Raven helped her girlfriend by pulling out the seat for. She half smiled as Cornelia sat down. The candle light flickered on the table set for two. It was their one year anniversary and Raven had wanted to make it special.
She put out a hand while Cornelia smiled up at her and she blushed. “I-I hope you like it” she said as she removed the cover from the dish. “It’s Lobster and hot dog macaroni cheese”
Cornelia smiled a little wider. “I love it” she said as Raven let out breath she didn’t know she’d been holding.
She took Cornelia’s plate carefully and put some of the macaroni on it. She’d also made peas and put those on the plate. Then she set the plate before her, taking the flute glass and filling it with sparkling soda. When Cornelia’s cup was full she filled her own and raised.
Cornelia lifted the cup and Raven half smiled. “This year has been unexpected but you’ve opened me up in ways I never dreamed Cornelia. You’re so special to me, here to hopefully another year together” she said and to that they both took a drink and the Raven sat down and put food on her own plate.
“Thank you for putting this all together” Cornelia said and she got up and kissed Raven on the cheek. Raven blushed it was a good thing the candles were lit.
