astrid stands towards the back of the crowd as the archers take their places on the stage, partially tuned out to the goings-on around her as the band takes her full attention. after discovering how damaging concerts could be for her hearing without earplugs, she'd immediately gone out to buy a pair that would lessen the noise without impeding her ability to hold a conversation with whoever joined her. that all being said, astrid is so focused on the music that she is unaware she's being spoken to until there is a tap on her shoulder, prompting her to turn around and face the person. ❛❛ i'm so sorry, could you repeat that? ❜❜ she asks, grinning sheepishly.

perhaps she is a bit overzealous in the way she pushes the swinging doors of the coffee shop, holy grounds, open wide. it's a near miss from the person headed for the door, as their pull to her push nearly sends them falling to the ground.

❛❛ oh shit , sorry !! don't know my own strength. ❜❜ a sheepish grin as she scoots past the other person, ❛❛ you know, if the doors don't open outward, it's an OSHA violation ? that's the result of safety laws that were put into place after a massive factory fire 1911 -- that actually happened here, in the village. ❜❜ somehow , she gets the impression that this conversational tidbit has not made anything better. she winces, lets in a sharp intake of breath.

❛❛ so, now's when you pull me out of this conversational hole i'm digging for myself and throw me a bone. maybe a comment about the weather? ❜❜
