4. IF YOU HAD TO WATCH A GAME ON REPEAT FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE WHICH ONE WOULD YOU PICK?
I have to say Germany-Argentina. My first time I ever got really upset was Germany-Argentina in 2006 because they were literally fighting the German players just because they won. And then Maradona in 2010 (even if Germany beat them anyway) really made me angry. So seeing Germany win their first World Cup in over 20 years against Argentina, the team I only had negative memories of, was one of the best moments ever. And I could watch the post-match celebrations forever.
9. IF YOUR CLUB WERE TO FALL APART AND PLAYERS WOULD TRY LEAVING AND YOU HAD THE POWER TO KEEP ONE PLAYER STILL, WHICH ONE WOULD IT BE?
I don’t have a club, silly.
13. A FAVORITE FOOTBALL MEMORY YOU’D LOSE IN EXCHANGE FOR A LEGENDARY FOOTBALL MOMENT YOU’D LIKE TO WITNESS IN THE PAST?
I was there for Julian Draxler’s first goal for Germany, and he was wearing the 8 that day, which I had on (albeit with Özil’s name). He worked so fucking hard that game, and he deserved it more than anyone. He was the only one that didn’t make me want to tear my hair out. Him scoring, even if it was a consolation to make it 4-3 was so deserved. It’s become one of my favorite memories. I would exchange it to watch 1954 final in Bern (even with all of the issues like the doping and all of that) just to see Germany’s first WC win.
27. YOU CAN CONTROL THE FATE IN /ONE/ MATCH THAT HAS HAPPENED IN THE PAST. YOU CAN CHOOSE ANY MATCH YOU WANT. WHICH ONE WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
I would change Wembley in 1966 without a doubt. I wasn’t even alive, and it still annoys me. Germany should have a solid 4 World Cups (because there are some people that don’t want to count 54 because of the doping).
