'This is a tune that Marc had been putting together, but had no words for. We were in the bowels of EMI, just off Marble Arch, Central London, and I was sitting around waiting to go out to dinner with Marc and Simon to our favourite haunt, 'The Lotus House', a Chinese restaurant on the Edgware Road. "Hey man, if you can come up with some lyrics, you can have it , it's not working for me," Marc said.
As I had only come over for another mad night out with Simon and Marc at the Lotus, I made up some words really quickly, in a matter of about 10 minutes, went into the studio, sang them and then we we were off to the 'Lotus House' to eat.
Marc and I had a rice fight throughout the meal, i recall.'
