Sleep On Your Own Time

This dude just traveled six hundred miles to watch this coronation and he sleeps through it!?! And seriously, if you’re gonna sleep through it, get your disrespectful ass out of the second row. You wanna sleep, that’s what the nosebleeds are for; the second row is reserved for the conscious members of the audience. Smh.

So, I’ve been cracking down hard on the Coronation dress the last few days. I had absolutely NO idea what I was doing and one of my friends had to skype me to walk me through installing a zipper.

But here it is. The cloak was done with the help of my mom and the beginnings of the dress was also helped by my mom. From the point of attaching the bodice to the skirt (step 19 of the pattern) onwards, I was on my own.

I still have to hem the dress and add buttons, clasps, and a jewel (from the transformation dress of the production of frozen jr I worked on) but the construction is pretty much done. >_<

We’re going to get the cloak and dress embroidered by a friend while we decorate a corset to go over top the dress. But!!! I did it!!!

I’m hoping to get it all done by the end of September to be able to film with ModerateKeys again :)

(As a side note: the basis of this version of the dress and cloak are the original concept art of Elsa’s coronation dress and the broadway costume. I do have a tester version of the dress that is more movie accurate. )
