Chapter 12: Narcissus
New beginnings
Corpse hadn’t told you but he was extremely scared. The main reason being obviously you. He was afraid your relationship would change drastically after the confession. He didn’t want to be a couple like those in movies, perfect and all sweet. It scared him as hell that you would want to go on dates with him all the time, that you would like to hold hands in public, and kiss him. Showing affection in public petrified him, that was not about you, he was not ashamed of you, he didn’t want you to misunderstand. Corpse was afraid you would get bored very soon.
But surprisingly nothing like that happened.
The two of you were still acting like best buddies, watching anime together, playing games, you wittenesing his streams, eating and cooking together, cussing at eachother from time to time, all that while kissing and cuddling a lot. Everything happening at his place, where he felt the most comfortable, sometimes in your apartment or his car, when he decided to pick you up from college.
Everything was beyond perfect.
The both of you were sitting on his couch playing a video game which name you had already forgotten. All you needed to know was it being a car race. You were laughing and simply enjoying yourselves when suddenly the game lagged and then stopped completely.
“The internet connection here is so shitty, I can’t work like that anymore. Fvck this.” His voice was rather annoyed as he complied to you about this problem a lot of times before. It was hard for him to make lives and he got stressed when he was disconnected. He felt like he had disappointed his viewers in those times.
Corpse threw his gaming pad on the couch and sighed loudly. You couldn’t believe how fast his mood dropped, he was laughing with you only seconds before, and now he looked like he was ready to scream.
You snuggled closer to him, trying to calm him down a little. You didn’t want it to spoil your evening, you hoped it would be nice.
“Would you mind moving out with me?” His question made you chuckle lightly. You took it like a joke on his side, as you never really discussed something like this.
“Any time.” You answered, still giggling. You would be lying to yourself if you said that this idea didn’t seem appealing to you. The truth was you were already spending most time at his place.
“I’ve been thinking about it a lot, lately.” That was only then you realized he was being serious. Your laughter got stuck in your throat as you looked up at Corpse, locking eyes with him.
“Are you serious?”
“Dead serious.”
You were left speechless, to be honest you wanted to move out with him like crazy, you just didn’t know if it was not too early. You were an official couple for a few weeks but you knew each other for over a year now. Wasn’t it going too fast? You felt that it was just right but at the same time you were afraid he might feel a little pressured. But on the other hand it was his suggestion…
“I would love to.” Your voice was soft, kinda uncertain but the moment you saw his blinding smile, you knew that was the best decision you have ever made.
“Let’s look for a nice place. Like, right now. I can’t wait, babygirl.”
