she swears.

"cause they're trying to get me to do some ritual with mama this weekend for some lady. and this isn't like, practical magic, or whatever, and so i told them i've been working, like, doubles all the time." a beat. "wanna trade lives? you can practical magic the fuck out of people, and i'll just make some really good scrambled eggs. deal?"

THE WHOLE HISTORICALLY MALNUTRITIONED IN A LAB THING has her thinking that her stomach won't agree to either of those things (something about a waffle being too sweet even if it is lacking in syrup, and bacon being too greasy by it's inherent nature when found in a diner). then there's her whole (justified, mind you) paranoia about strangers - especially accepting food from them, or, really, accepting anything that could be considered an act of kindness.

despite it all, the part of tzipporah that feels as though casey is someone she's always known (and perhaps exists to her as a SAFE PLACE) wins out over her paranoia and hesitation towards potential stomach issues. she ducks her head - almost uncharacteristically shy instead of standoffish, and if she's hiding an equally shy smile - well, that's nobody's business. "maybe without syrup. i don't like super sweet things. but i've always never had, um , either. so. if it's not good, can i hold that against you?"
