''...translating an artist's desire for unobstructed creatvity into an architectural design for unobstructed space.''
Artikel MOS brings intensity and wry humor to its work on many scales
For example, currently under construction, MOS Architects' "Miami Facade" project is the result of the implementation of just one of the softwares developed by the group; the placement of the windows on the building's facade was determined by using their "Software No. 13, FACADE" as an imperative part of their design process. The practice still makes use of drawings and models to work through their designs, so the algorithm has not totally erased these traditional methods. Yet it is clear that the algorithm has become an essential actor for this practice's own architectural ideas, and has implications in the design process from concept to realization. In fact, it is clear that by the way MOS Architects treats the creation of the software that the algorithm can become not just as a means to achieve an end but an artifact of design itself.

An is radicaal pragmatisch en zet de mens en het dagelijks leven centraal in architectuur, terwijl Frank het tegenovergestelde is en liever niet rekening houdt met het functionalisme van architectuur, maar eerder de symmetrie en geometrie van deze.
